PTI will be on streets if commission not formed

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Tuesday said that the PTI would take to the streets again if the judicial commission on the alleged poll rigging was not formed.

“The only option for the federal government is to form a high-powered judicial commission to impartially and objectively probe the rigging in May 2013 general elections,” he told the reporters at his residence in Banigala before leaving for Peshawar on Tuesday. He said the PTI was the political party to shut down the entire country and it will do so if judicial commission was not formed. “Don’t take our flexible stance lightly,” he warned the federal government. “Right now we don’t need to shut down the country. The government has done what we had to do by shutting down the country itself,” he referred to the worst petrol crises that has crippled life across Pakistan. Later, Khan left for Saudi Arabia along with his new wife Reham Khan apparently to perform Umrah.
